The new year of guides 2018 is marked, once again, by Castello Bonomi excellence: after being awarded as Best Winery of Lombardy by the Guide Vitae 2017 of the Italian Sommelier Association, it is now crowned as Top of Franciacorta in the ranking of the guide 2018 Gilbert & Gaillard.
This further recognition it is particularly exciting for the country from which it comes: Gilbert and Gaillard, in fact, it’s a French guide that values and rewards the best champagne, with a deep sensitivity and expertise on bubbles and Classic method.
The Franciacorta Castello Bonomi have reached the highest scores in the ranking above all the Franciacorta evaluated by the guide, this is the reason why Castello Bonomi has been defined as winery Top of Franciacorta 2018.
The scores assigned to the Franciacorta Castello Bonomi are:
“Light gold. Nose of stewed citrus and white peach, flower honey and croissant. The palate shows rich substance with beautiful exuberance imparting vigour and length. Lovely complementary aromas. Gratifying richness.”
“Light coppery-salmon. The nose is accented by forest fruits, almonds and fresh herbs. The palate is ethereal due to a compelling creamy dimension and recurrent red fruits. Becomes more refined and precise with each sip.”
“Light gold. Nose of dried fruits and white flowers with creamy, buttery undertones. Mouth-coating, fat palate with crisp undercurrents. Beautiful fruit is framed by rich, sensual presence. A wine for gourmet foods such as pike-perch in a white butter sauce.”
“Clear gold. Creamy, pastry-like nose with clear citrus, quince, mango and honeyed flower presence. The palate is still young and imbued with invigorating exuberance. Lovely prevailing softness coupled with a richly-endowed aromatic spectrum.”
“Gold color, brilliant. Rich nose, exotic fruit, citrus, apple, white flowers, almonds. The mouth is enriched with tasty pastry notes. A complete wine, of great precision and with a beautiful aromatic purity. For rare moments.”
Five Gold medals, thanks to which the Franciacorta Castello Bonomi have been included in the Top 100 Italian wines according to Gilbert & Gaillard.
In addition to this important statement in France, the excellence of Castello Bonomi was also remarked at the highest levels in Italy, with prizes in prominent events and in great guides. Merano Wine Award conferred with the title of the WineHunter Award Dosage Zèro 2010 Franciacorta DOCG; Franciacorta Brut CruPerdu Reserve 2008 drew the attention of Slow Wine guide, which gave the recognition of Great Wine, and of the guide L’Espresso rated it among the top 50 “wine to drink immediately”.
These successes make Castello Bonomi increasingly proud and satisfied with the results achieved, confirming the value of a careful and passionate path undertaken in the vineyard and in the cellar.
