CruPerdu Millesimato 2004 has a straw color that is rich and brilliant, with an elegant nose of spices and tropical fruit. On the palate it offers a great structure with a mineral flavour. The palate is complex, but at the same time extraordinarily pleasant. It is the result of absolute choices, aimed for excellence, that have always characterized the Castello Bonomi’s production. CruPerdu Millesimato 2004 is a typical expression of the Monte Orfano’s terroir, with an extraordinary longevity.

CruPerdu comes from grapes grown in terraced vineyards located on the Monte Orfano, the oldest outcrop of the Po valley, in an area of ancient vocation, with a very special microclimate of higher maximum and minimum temperatures, maximum exposure to the sun, strong presence of limestone, and early harvests. These elements positively influence the grapes’ growth, especially thePinot Noir, well-known as the “enfant terrible” of viticulture: here Castello Bonomi reveals its best talent, and it’s now rightly considered as the pinnacle of excellence in the Franciacorta appellation variety.

The Franciacorta Castello Bonomi comes from careful division of vineyards in micro particles, which are vinified separately and then assembled by the great expert chef de cave Luigi Bersini. They have a remarkable longevity, maintaining an extraordinary freshness and a nice energy with a great savory, typical of the Monte Orfano’s terroir.

CruPerdu Millesimato 2004 represents all these elements, and after 10 years of patient aging, provides unique sensations to the taster. It’s a wine with very low sugar content and great expression that will satisfy even the most refined wine-lovers. Try it with raw fish and shellfish, seafood risotto, salt encrusted sea bass or particular dishes with freshwater fish. Thanks to its elegant intensity, it also matches magnificently with savory dishes.

CruPerdu is the son of a terroir that aims to grow in harmony with the ecosystem and with the principles of sustainability. Crucial, in the reasoned viticulture of Castello Bonomi, are the concepts of zoning, precision farming, biodiversity, carbon balance. An approach of this kind requires a very thorough knowledge of the area and has a strong ethical connotation, focused on the protection of quality, environment, and humans.
