FRANCIACORTA-CRUPERDU-2011

A wonderful microcosm in the small world of Franciacorta excellence, the Castello Bonomi estates are the new strongholds of CASA PALADIN’s “reasonable viticulture farming”. The exceptional limestone and chalk soil on the slope of the Monte Orfano mountain, brushed by the warm breezes that ascend from the plain, is the magical and special ingredient of this strip of Franciacorta where the vines draw rich mineral salts from the depths of the soil. Sudden changes in the climate and soil create a mosaic of micro-areas within just a few hectares that vine-growers have learnt to wisely exploit, even by cultivating forgotten vines such as the Cru Perdu.

This endless treasure chest of vine notes has resulted in the creation of unique wine symphonies that have won the most prestigious awards and acknowledgements.
At Castello Bonomi, uniqueness is further enhanced by brave and visionary choices that are ahead their times: from the creation of the first rosé Franciacorta made from 100% Pinot Nero grapes, to the idea of vintage sparkling wines that disclose the authentic scents of the soil, slowly matured and awaited in bottles.
